The goal of my art is to delve into the world around me and to call attention to the beauty that exists in almost everything that surrounds us. The interplay of light on natural forms is magical and I delight in capturing these fleeting moments on canvas in both my landscape and seascape paintings.
The focus of my work is primarily the landscapes and seascapes of the Western United States – in particular, California where I live. I find particular joy in calling attention to the natural and man-made beauty that exists in my home state and I hope to be able to inspire others to appreciate these places through the enjoyment of my work. There is nothing quite like the sun setting over the rugged coastline of California or the haze filtered sunlight bouncing off the canopy of a eucalyptus tree on a summer day in Los Angeles. There is beauty around us at every turn and I hope that through my work I can show it to be so.
